Educating the Dragon

I can’t believe I was tagged! Apparently you want to know 5 things about me that you wouldn’t otherwise know from my blog site. Well here goes:

1. I moved to New Zealand with my wife for an ‘overseas experience’ for a year. That was some three and a bit years ago now. I love it here. The country, the people, the life. It’s all great.
2. I am the proud father of a 15 month old now who is walking and ‘talking’. I say ‘talking’ because his word for balloon is blllllll. He’s a superstar.
3. Despite my Welsh heritage (and name) I was actually born in Bolton in Lancashire in England.
4. I am a Christian and have felt a calling upon my life to be a teacher. I was on holiday with my family in Ibiza at the time and while I was sitting reading my bible one day I felt the hand of God upon my life and He was telling me that I was to go to teacher training college. That was 13 years ago on the other side of the world. But here I am still teaching, in Flaxmere, and Loving It.
5. I’m a Bond fan. I didn’t get into the ‘Is Daniel, Bond?’ debate. But then I went to see Casino Royale with a mate of mine and I challenge anyone to suggest that he’s not. Wow what a performance!
