Renewed Video

Filed under: Dragon09, Education, My Education, communication, school 2.0, school2.0, teachertube — Dragon09 @ 12:04 pm

Well here it is, my revamped School 1.0 v School 2.0 video. After much discussing on my blog last week about copyright and quality of photographs, plus a comment on my teachertube that the words were difficult to read, I have completly redone the video:

Mark, I know the images are still too static for your liking but I think you’ll agree that the quality of them is much improved.

I also want to thank Graham Wegner for pointing me in the direction of FlickrCC- The images are great and are under a creative commons licence.

  1. Hi Simon

    better image quality by far!

    better lay out

better thinking through the aim and story line

    but

the images flick through to quick for me….as a general rule 4-6 secs is a good time for images to be on screen…if working with music try and match image changes to the music beat….(yes a new thing for you to learn to do….)

you are still using a number if differebt image formats….landscape, portrait, 4:3 and 16:9 tidy that up and it will look much better…

some of the text is not on screen long enough to fully read…..also try and put the text in one line…it makes it easier to read….eye travels across faster then down….get that text moving on the screen….alos, u dont need to put the whole sentence on the one page….spilit it out over two screens…shorter sentences…more imapct but also leads the viewer into the next images….this is story telling so build the suspense and aniticipation…

be wary of using the mastercard logo…even though it is cropped it is still reconisable as there card……i would have used the word master in red with th other words appearing in the yellow…the colour asosication with the mastercard logo would be enough for people to make the connection and association….

try and use a crossfade when changing from one picture to the next…it wont then be so harsh on the eyes and so abrupt…

all in all a much better video than your first attempt

catch u when i get back from Fiji.
