A learning journey with no fixed abode
Well my email arrived this week, my session has been accepted and I’m going to ULearn. That’s the plan. I’ll be in the Expo area in the Sitech / Breathe corner. So come over and say hello. Rumour around the office is that I’ll be the sucker in the ridiculous outfit. So well worth a visit just to laugh at me.
How much more motivating for students to be enabled through the use of the IWB to take a lead role in directing class discussion on a text. Not only does the use of technology motivate the student body as a whole but the fact that a student is leading the discussion, asking the questions, noting the comments- not crusty old me! That’s equally motivating. Students sharing their learning and opinions openly and freely. YES!
Have just started my new post at in a rural school. The school is actually really well equipped.

Network, hardwired.
Everything is needing to be hardwired as there is no signal for anything out here. I question whether they can get TV coverage. No cellphone, no wireless. The job has kept me too busy to really notice, but I have been off-line now for over a week and I’m feeling it. Plus I’ve been too busy and too tired to sit up at night.
This is the first late night blogging I’ve done for some time now. Maybe there aren’t enough hours in the day or maybe I’m just getting too old to be burning the candle at both ends.
I’ve tried to keep up with my blog reading but even that is proving difficult. So, sorry to all those I’ve skimmed and couldn’t find 30 seconds to make a comment…. I feel bad about it, I really do.
