A thought from the past

Have just been listening to Wes Fryer’s keynote where he shared The video below. This video is very inspiring as a learner and challenging as an educator. Seeing the main speaker reminded me of Roger Schank and the podcast Wes shared years ago . It is still about the shifting face of Education and I feel we will be continuing on this same theme for sometime yet.

How do go from inspiring keynote addresses and thought provoking blogs and podcasts to devloping programmes, stuctures and packaging this in a way that makes it accessible to every teacher, and I mean EVERY teacher- yes even the laggards!

We are yet to reach the tipping point in this "Educational Revolution". We have a long, long, LONG way to go.

  1. You know, I’m not sure. ‘Probly shouldn’t comment till I have thought further but I don’t know that he should be apologising. How many acts and people of greatness over the centuries have arisen (and you set me thinking along these lines with your Easter series postings!)out of trials, testing, difficulties? Having to forge your way, stand up for what you believe in, create your own future etc… No, I’m not convinced that I join with this apology :( However, I am glad you put it on your blog to get me thinking. Maybe I should come back when this conversation has developed a little more and others have added their thoughts.
