Go web-based mail

Had a blogging session stall in the middle today because attendees could not access their “activate” emails from their Outlook.

If I had thought on I would have assisted them all in establishing gmail or ymail accounts or some other  internet based email. Hind sight is 20/20.

I kinda love my gmail login with my personalised homepage and the pull power of the tools below the time sensitive igoogle.

Just out of interest what you use for your homepage and why?

  1. I use Google Reader for my Homepage. This means I can see which blogs, etc in my feed have updated recently & so keep on top of ( well at least try to) my blog reading. Because it’s Google I can easily use the links at the top to flick between my calendar, iGoogle, blog, docs, maps, etc.

  2. Love, love, love iGoogle – it’s my HomePage.
There’s access to all my blog RSS feeds, my Yahoomail/hotmail accounts, my student’s RSS blog feeds, my wikispaces feeds, ning feeds, scrapbooking site feeds, news from home feeds, weather updates, even a slide show feed of the latest Flickr 365 challenge photos (for inspiration & motivation) – ALL at a glance! Did I mention I love iGoogle?

  3. I have my tabbed Firefox browser wet to multiple tab opening but I do like the Safari offering in the multiple sites home page idea.
